Daddy! Where Are We Going???

Anyone who has been a parent(s) would understand this statement from their child or children. If you would allow me to, I would like to share a wonderful revelation that the LORD had brought to our attention just this past weekend during our little venture as we fought with our kiddos this weekend (in fun terms).

Just this past weekend when we took our kids out in a little venture for the day and we had told the kids where we were going 2 days prior so they get an idea of what to expect. Just as usual, they get real excited and overjoyed with the anticipation of going somewhere. So the two days of waiting passed us by and it was finally Saturday!!! The day we were to go on our little venture was finally here. The kids had breakfast and after all the morning fuss, we finally made it out of the house all in one piece and headed off to our venture for the day. As parents, to prepare them, we had told the kids kind of a basic idea of where we were going and what we were doing and that was all they had in mind and for two days they had asked and reminded us about a 1000 plus time a day about when and where we were going; And of course, we answered them a 1000 plus time of where we are going (as parents one would relate to this constant questioning).

On Saturday morning, as we started out and continued on our little venture. The kids continued to ask when will We get there and how long will it take (as usual the 1000 questions). We gently remind them that we’ll be there soon. In the midst of the way there, the thing that they didn’t know is that, as parents, we plan a little pick up here or a drop off things there or some other side errands that needed to be done before we get to the place of destination. So with all the stop in between the trip, the whining and the fussing begins as the kids ask and cried, “Daddy, I thought we were supposed to go here and there and do this and that but why are we not going?”. So the whining and fussing went on for about 2 hours and we have to explain to them each time that we must make a stop to drop off and get this and go here first but we are on our way as we need to do a few things first. Well, as children and Being 6 and 8 years of age that does not make sense to them. They had not fully understood the true depth of the promises that their parents had made to them and even on the day of and even as we sat in the car on our way there, because they didn’t know the full details of the whole trip, there were still questions, doubts and uncertain feelings at every pause or stop of whether if their parents were going to take them to go on the little venture that we had promised them. So after the 2 hours of whining,, complaining, fussing, and doubting screams coming from behind us and we finally made it to our destination and they were overjoyed because what their parents had told them 2 days ago had finally come to pass and they are finally at the place we had told them we would take them.

FINALLY!!! As they were so excitedly getting out of the car. I sarcastically teased them and told my children “You cry and fuss because you don’t know your fathers will.” Oh!!!!! As soon as Those words left my mouth, the Holy Spirit convicted my heart and spirit and spoke unto my spirit and He said “Yes Cyndie, they whine and fuss and are frustrated because they DON’T know their Father’s will.” OOOooooOooo my heart sunk and I turned, looked at my husband square in the face, and told him what I just heard God say.

The revelations brought so much comfort and joy unto our spirit hearing the Spirit of God brings reminders and revelations unto us to let us know that God will always hear our concerns, our cries, and our prayers. He uses the simplest daily activities of our lives to let us know that we, being human, with very limited abilities and are able to keep our promises to our children the best we know how. Then we must bring our hearts and spirits to ask this question. How much more can God our Father in heaven, with all the power and greatness of abilities, are able to take care and tend to our needs And the needs of all the nations and the world. As many troubles as we may see before us and the things that God had told us had yet to happen but He had already told us. God gives us His word!! We then must stand firm upon His word and promises to us. There may be things that we haven’t see happen yet or that certain things that are happening in between the time that God had told us and the time that it actually will take place. We must know that it does not mean that God is not acting or doing what He has already destined for it to manifest when the time is right.

It only takes a small incident in our daily activities for God to use to remind us of what His intentions for His children are if we choose to open our hearts and spirits to hear His voice.

I pray today that God will touch your hearts and spirit to let each of us know, although things may not look the way we may expect to be BUT KNOW FOR CERTAIN that God is not without knowledge or understanding of what He is doing now, what He is about to do or what He has ALREADY DESTINED FOR IT TO HAPPEN. We must Stand Firm and “Keep the Faith” As God is faithful in all things. Amen.

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.” Thessalonians 5:23-24

God's Promise is Certain

“For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife. Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.” Hebrew 6:13-20

“And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice. So Abraham returned unto his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba.” Genesis 22:15-19
