Jesus' Authority Questioned

It is very interesting what I have experience today and many other times. But I believe I have to make this know for the sake of truth and what we do that might hinder the work of the Holy Spirit because we put the authority of men and his ways above the authority and the moves and unction of the Holy Spirit.

I was in church as the normal days and usually we leave a bit early because of packing and getting my children to the car before traffic hits the parking lot. But today I was move by The Holy Spirit to pray for someone out of my normal routine and when I got there the Lord show me who to Pray for. As we were praying the Lord lead me in what to pray over someone and as I was finishing up its when the spirit of religious order rise up and question weather i should pray because it's the church authority that it should be done a certain way.

Would we put the church and man authority over the authority of the Holy Spirit and question His unction when He requires someone to pray for someone else? If we have question concern anything in an atmosphere where the Holy Spirit is obviously presence and He moves among His people, then we must only to ask Him before we act so that we may not offend the works of the Holy Spirit and be a hindrance and hinder Someone from receiving what God has for them.

It is a lesson that each one of us must take to heart. It is vital that we understand when the Holy Spirit moves among a congregation and His works begins to manifest through His people that as Churches and church leaders to recognize who His vessels are and whom He choose to work through and not hinder His works and bring a hindrance upon the anointing.

Then they came again to Jerusalem. And as He was walking in the temple, the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders came to Him. And they said to Him, “By what authority are You doing these things? And who gave You this authority to do these things?”

But Jesus answered and said to them, “I also will ask you one question; then answer Me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things: 30 The baptism of John—was it from heaven or from men? Answer Me.”

And they reasoned among themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will say, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’ But if we say, ‘From men’”—they feared the people, for all counted John to have been a prophet indeed. So they answered and said to Jesus, “We do not know.” And Jesus answered and said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”
