Faith Over Fears In Times of Crisis

This Too Shall Pass

Alright all jokes aside and in ALL honesty

(Although the toilet paper thing is still funny. God does truly have a great sense of humor in the midst of chaos).

Within a few days, we will look back and see how easily we would allow situations like these to grip us in fear. As each event that had happened in the recent past, we would let the fear of the unknown put us in such a panic frenzy and cause more stress and bring worries and anxiety to ourselves and our family than necessary. It eventually will slip by us and be forgotten until they can find something else to stir our mind again.

Jesus Stills the Storm

(Matthew 8:23-27; Mark 4:35-41; Luke 8:22-25)
And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him. And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep. And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish. And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

In time as these, we must always remember that God, our Father in heaven, does not operate in fear or put fear upon our heart and mind, but that He will always reassure each one of us and calms us down through each trial and situation with His great protection and promises to deliver and heal us from any attacks of the enemy. There is not any difference with the case of viruses that are gripping all of our hearts and the nations of the world right now. God will continue to put His hands of protection over His creation. Yes, we should be concerned, and we should be aware and take every precaution in all situations with the health and well-being of our families and loved ones, but in this time where our faith is being tested. We must stand firm in God’s living word and do all things with peace, trust, and faith that our God and our Jesus are bigger than any sickness and disease that can be named in any generation. There are many threats of viruses that had risen up in the year past. We are currently facing one now, and there will be more to come that is inevitable as long as the world still exists. Judgments, plagues, and pestilences shall continue, but in all situations, we must believe His promises that He is with us always. He will continue to deliver, heal, and protect us from all that we must face just as He had promised in His words.

So I pray this day that the peace of God, our Father in heaven, that surpasses all understanding be with each of us as we trust in His great and mighty protecting hands and that we let not the enemy strike fear in our hearts for our Great Father “hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). So that we, the believers, the church communities may be firm pillars and structures to encourage those who are without hope in situation and crises such as these.

May God bless and be with each of you and your loved ones this day and always as you put your faith in His great and mighty love to give you peace of mind in all things and in all situations. Amen and Amen.
